Bins & Litter
We know that having a clean and tidy park is important to all our users.
As well as joining our scheduled litterpicks, you can use the links below to inform the council of overflowing bins, excessive litter, or to email your councillors about current refuse policy.
Bin Policy
In line with City of Edinburgh Council policy bins are only placed at entrances to parks.​ Bins and bin policy are managed exclusively by the council and Friends of Gyle Park do not have the authority to add additional bins.
However, we have heard your feedback from our 2024 User Survey and we are considering how we can influence the council to provide more bins in the future.

In the meantime, please do reach out to your local Councillors if you'd like to see bin policy changed.
